Billing & Insurance
From insurance information to online bill pay and self-pay rates, we’re here to answer all of your billing and insurance questions. If you have a question that you can’t find an answer to here, please give us a call.
BASC will bill your insurance company or the responsible party for your services separately from your surgeon, the anesthesiologist (if required for your surgery), and pathology or laboratory charges, if a specimen or sample was taken.
You will be billed for any amount determined to be your responsibility, such as deductibles and co-pays. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover to assist you in paying for your services. To ensure proper filing of claims, please bring valid insurance cards with you on the date of surgery.
BASC proudly accepts all major insurance carriers, including Medicare.
It is the patient’s responsibility to satisfy the conditions of your insurance plan; therefore, we strongly recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to confirm benefits and any requirements prior to surgery (such as pre-authorization). It is the patient’s responsibility to verify that your insurance plan covers our facility services.
BASC cannot be held responsible for claims denied for failure to meet specific requirements on your behalf. Patients undergoing cosmetic procedures, or patients who are undergoing “non-covered services” (as determined by your insurance carrier) must pre-pay in full by making arrangements with our billing department. Cash, major credit cards, and cashiers checks are accepted, however payment cannot be made by personal check.
In the event that any of the above options cannot be met, the surgical center will make every attempt to assist with other financial arrangements prior to surgery. Patients who experience financial hardship, according to current Federal Poverty Guidelines, may apply for charity adjustments. Applications must be made prior to surgery.FEDERAL POVERTY GUIDELINES

My 15 month old daughter just had eye surgery there this morning. The nurses, doctors and front desk staff were all amazing. They explained everything that was going to be done and eased my nerves. Would definitely recommend them.
Two procedures done there. Staff was wonderful and caring. Would recommend them to everyone.
The staff was really nice and very patient, you could tell they knew how to take care of people! it was my first procedure ever and they made it so that I was not nervous at all!
I had eye surgery and the staff there are amazing. They answered all of my questions/concerns and made sure I was relaxed enough for the surgery.
